Guy Fieri visits our garden!!!!

 I just couldn’t wait to share this with you guys! So today was just a normal Thursday afternoon and I was in Mrs. Bacons cooking club, Cooking with Bacon, as I normally do and guess who walks in behind Mr. Johnson. Guy Fieri. As in the Guy Fieri. You know, the one on the Food Network? The man that won season two The Next Food Network Star, and is on Guy’s Big Bite, Ultimate Recipe Showdown, and Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives? Yup, that one. Anyway he chopped up an onion. And that’s not the best part. Guess why Mr. Johnson is the bestest principal ever… Because I said so! But that’s not all. Mr. Johnson took him to the garden and Guy Fieri (as in the Guy Fieri!) liked it and gave me a high-five. He thought that it was a great idea and was awesome and that I was making a difference. He said that. Guy Fieri did. Why, yes, I am grinning at the screen like a stupid five year-old, who just got a pony, right now. Well that’s a wrap!  PS I'll post more pictures later!!!

The amphitheater was full of volunteers, MC families and special guests like Supervisor Susan Adams!



Mrs. Bacon at the grill and our table of local treats including arugula pesto from the garden made by Katie and the seventh grade science class, aidells sauages grilled by Mr. Ptak, nicasio valley cheeses on semi freddi  bread, potato & leek soup made by Mrs. Bacon & Mr. Cleland, homemade lemonade and Peets Coffee and Tea. We sincerely thank our local food donors for the event: Aidell's sausage, Nicasio Valley Cheese & Peets at Northgate, and semifreddi's for their donations.
